France’s candidate to host the Euro 2016
By admin | January 31, 2010
France is the official candidate to host Euro-2016, announced Friday, February 13, the French Football Federation. "2016 is very far, but both very closely," said its president, Jean-Pierre Escalettes. We went to battle, and we left for the win. "
The Nation candidates have until March 9 to reach the UEFA their letter of intent.
Bernard Laporte, Secretary of State for Sport, had already expressed his desire to see France candidate, and President Nicolas Sarkozy has shown its interest in this application at its January vows.
I welcome this bid to host what should be the first championship of Europe of the Nations Cup with 24 teams instead of 16 now.
